Why native matters
Not a web page in disguise.
Most desktop players for YouTube Music are web pages running inside a browser, some of them the YouTube Music website itself. HyperTube Music is a real app, so your computer does less work to play the same songs.

The things people ask most before trying HyperTube Music.
HyperTube Music is a desktop app for listening to YouTube Music on Windows, macOS and Linux. Instead of showing the website inside a browser window, it is built as a real app for your computer, so it opens quickly, uses less memory and fits in with your other apps. It is an independent project and is not made by Google.
No. You can browse and listen without a Premium subscription, and even without signing in. Signing in with your Google account brings in your library, playlists, likes and history, just like on YouTube Music.
Signing in happens on Google's own sign-in page, shown inside the app. HyperTube Music never sees or saves your password. After you sign in, your session is kept only on your computer, and the app talks to YouTube directly, without any server of ours in between.
